Clarkco State Park
Located south of Meridian and close to the Mississippi-Alabama state line, Clarkco State Park has welcomed scores of campers to discover its scenic tranquility since 1938. Approximately 815 acres of woodlands make up this state park, an ideal attraction for an afternoon getaway or a weekend retreat.
Clarkco State Park offers guests picnic pavilions, playgrounds, nature trails, fishing, water skiing in Ivy Lake, a boat launch, and more. Camping amenities include 43 developed camping sites, seven primitive tent camping sites, 20 vacation cabins, and one vacation cottage.
Are you feeling especially adventurous and want to explore area attractions? Head to the Bamboo Emu Farm in Meridian, Dunn’s Falls in Enterprise, and the Okatibbee Wildlife Management Area within a short drive from the park.

Davis Bayou Campground
Located east of downtown Ocean Springs and part of the Gulf Islands National Seashore, the Davis Bayou Campground features many biking, boating, and hiking opportunities. Take a hike along the scenic Davis Bayou Trail, which lets hikers travel through a coastal forest and over two local bayous. Go bird-watching and be on the lookout for alligators and other reptiles lurking about the bayous.
The charming campground is open throughout the year and includes 52 electric and water hookup sites, ideal for small and large RVs. A group camping site can accommodate groups of up to 10 to 40 people.

Little Black Creek Campground and Park
Make your next camping excursion one to remember at Little Black Creek Campground and Park. Surrounded by a 640-acre lake, Little Black Creek Campground and Park invites guests to fish, swim, kayak, ride bikes, play disc golf, or wrap themselves in blankets and watch the sun set into the water from one of several spacious porches. Weekly fishing tournaments take place each Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Camping amenities include 20 family-friendly cabins, more than 100 RV sites, and multiple primitive camping areas. Stay in one of the fully furnished cabins, or bring your RV to one of the many full-hookup RV sites.

Tucked away in Mississippi’s pine belt region, Paul B. Johnson State Park is a public recreation area located on the shores of Geiger Lake, approximately 10 miles south of Hattiesburg. Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the diverse activities and amenities that the park offers, including fishing, canoeing, and jet skiing. Additional amenities include picnic tables and grills, playgrounds, a splash pad, disc golf, nature trails, swimming, and more.
The campground within the park offers three choices of camping accommodations: 125 full-hookup RV sites, 25 primitive tent camping sites, 16 cabins, three cottages, and a group camping facility.
