Bicentennial Beer Company is a small brewpub located inside LD’s Beer Run. Specializing in small-batch brewing, Bicentennial brews half-barrel and one-barrel batches. Typically, you’ll find six house brews on tap as well as six local or regional brews. The beer menu changes weekly, giving repeat customers plenty of opportunities to try something new.
Try the Passion Puppy, a house brew with notes of passion fruit and honey. Another good option is the Mango Way, a sour ale with mango crafted by Threefoot Brewing Company in nearby Meridian. In addition, Bicentennial usually has New England and West Coast IPAs on tap, along with several sours, stouts, and fruit beers.

Cathead Distillery
Did you know that Mississippi’s first and oldest legal distillery is located right here in Jackson? That’s right. Cathead Distillery opened in 2010, 44 years after the state government repealed prohibition. Since Cathead is a distillery and not a brewery, guests can choose from vodka, gin, liqueur, whiskey, and vodka sodas when they visit. To purchase any of these items, stop by the on-site bottle shop during the week, order online, or visit one of the many area bars and restaurants that carry Cathead products.

The Bulldog
Although The Bulldog is technically a local beer pub and not a brewery, it has one of the largest beer selections in Jackson. Midtown Depot, located in Jackson’s historic Midtown neighborhood, is Mississippi’s first beer garden and art park. The Depot offers a broad beer selection on tap, with a generous rotating selection. Besides craft beer, you’ll also find a variety of domestics such as High Noon, Truly, and White Claw. A limited food menu is available and features items like baby back ribs, seafood gumbo, and pulled pork sliders.
In addition to amazing food and drink options, the Depot strives to provide Jackson with a variety of entertainment choices as well. Fenian’s Pub is a neighborhood pub and full-service, sit-down restaurant. Locally owned and operated, the pub proudly celebrates Irish and Celtic heritage and history. Try the Yellowhammer Gold, an American lager made by Yellowhammer Brewing in Huntsville, Alabama, or the Attacus Atlas, a Triple New England IPA made by Parish Brewing Company in Broussard, Louisiana. Plenty of bottled beer is also available, like Blue Moon Brewery’s Belgian Wheat and Kona Brewing Company’s Big Wave.
