Located in Banner Hall off the Interstate 55 S. Frontage Road, Broad Street Baking Company serves breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. every day before switching to the lunch menu. The restaurant is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday and Monday and from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Broad Street Baking Company was created as a tribute to the owner’s grandfather, who owned a traditional European bakery in New Jersey in the early 20th century. The bakers bring a taste of Old World baking to Jackson’s residents and guests.
Broad Street Baking company is famous for its freshly baked bread, biscuits, and pastries, which feature in most of the menu items. Enjoy a buttermilk chicken biscuit with a honey glaze or a try the popular berries and cream stuffed French toast, made from sweet challah bread filled with strawberries and cream cheese. This soda shop has been serving Jackson residents since 1946 and is still cooking up comforting diner food. Brent’s Drugs serves breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, making this a great spot to satisfy those all-day brunch cravings. You can eat your breakfast at the bar or in a booth that evokes the spirit of the classic diners of the 1940s and 1950s.
Enjoy a famous Brent’s Biscuit Sandwich, with your choice of meat and add-ons, or try the breakfast tacos with homemade salsa verde. You can also take a bite out of the breakfast melt, a sandwich made from Texas toast with American cheese, bacon, and a fried egg. If you’re there after noon on a Saturday, you can get a signature brunch cocktail. If you’re looking for a nonalcoholic beverage, the traditional soda fountain is still serving up milkshakes and floats for the whole family.
