Since its opening in 1968, the garden center has developed a loyal customer base by offering an extensive inventory that includes its own private label fertilizer, lawn food, and soil. In addition to gardening supplies and greenery, Hutto’s sells an array of other products, such as canned goods, bird feeders, livestock feed, and patio furniture. Check out the canned specialty items from Mama Hutto’s Gourmet Recipe Line, which includes products such as dilled green pickles, fruit preserves, and pickled okra. You’ll find a large selection of cypress patio furniture at the garden center as well, including Adirondack chairs, rockers, and gliders. If you have pecans, bring them in to have them cracked, shelled, and cleaned for a small fee.

Lakeland Yard and Garden Center
Lakeland Yard and Garden Center encompasses 17 acres, making it Mississippi’s largest retail nursery. Its employees are available to answer any questions you may have, and many staff members have completed Nurserymen certification programs. Lakeland sources its plants from some of the best growers in the country and carries a large supply of flowering annuals and perennials, fruit trees, berry plants, rose bushes, and shrubs. In addition, you’ll find an extensive inventory of fountains, patio furniture, and garden supplies when you visit.
For large orders of mulch, soil, and sand, they’ll deliver to your home or load your order into your vehicle. Lakeland is located at 4210 Lakewood Dr. in Flowood. It’s open Monday-Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday from 1-6 p.m.
Madison Garden Center
Madison Garden Center carries an assortment of premium products for your lawn, garden, and patio needs. If you’re looking for plant care items, you’ll find a large inventory that includes products such as fertilizers and pesticides. The nursery also carries a variety of plants, ranging from bedding plants to shade trees to shrubs.
